Gunfire Erupts at Rihanna’s Los Angeles Mansion; Suspect in Custody
BEVERLY CREST, CA — Tranquillity in one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive neighbourhoods was shattered Sunday afternoon when a woman allegedly opened fire on the residence of pop superstar Rihanna with an AR-15-style rifle. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the incident occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. on March 8, 2026. Rihanna, 38, was inside the home at the time of the attack but was not injured. The Incident According to LAPD officials and radio dispatch reports, a 30-year-old woman pulled up to the property in a white Tesla and fired approximately 10 rounds from the vehicle. The hail of gunfire caused visible damage to the estate: >Structural Damage: At least one bullet reportedly penetrated a wall of the colonial-style mansion. >Property Damage: Several rounds or fragments struck the home's main gate and a vehicle parked in front of the residence. >Neighbourhood Reaction: Witnesses described hearing "loud pops" that initially sounded out of place in the quiet Beverly Crest area, located about 20 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Status of the Family While Rihanna was confirmed to be on the premises, it remains unclear if her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, or their three children—RZA, Riot Rose, and 6-month-old Rocki Irish—were present. Law enforcement confirmed that no injuries were reported for anyone on the property. Rapid Response and Arrest The suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting, heading south on Coldwater Canyon Drive. However, LAPD officers apprehended the woman approximately three minutes after the initial 911 call. The suspect was detained at the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping centre, roughly eight miles from the mansion. Officers recovered an AR-15-style rifle during the arrest. Ongoing Investigation The LAPD’s elite Robbery-Homicide Division has taken over the case. While the suspect is in custody, her identity and a possible motive for the attack have not yet been released. LAPD Captain Mike Bland stated that formal booking allegations and further details are expected to be made public later today, Monday, March 9. Representatives for Rihanna have not yet issued an official statement regarding the ordeal.
