Multiple Shooting Incidents Reported Across Cape Town Over Weekend

A series of shooting incidents were reported across Cape Town over the weekend, leaving several people dead and others injured in different communities.
Authorities are investigating multiple cases that occurred between Friday, 13 March and Sunday, 15 March, as violence continues to affect several areas across the city.
Friday, 13 March
In Mfuleni, two people were shot and killed on the corner of Mew Way and Old Faure Road.
Meanwhile, in Cloetesville, two people were shot in Pine Road. One of the victims died from their injuries while the second person was wounded.
Another fatal incident occurred in Lavender Hill and Seawinds, where two people were shot and killed in Military Heights.
In Parow, a driver was shot and wounded during a hijacking incident.
Two people were also shot and wounded in Ryston Road in Hanover Park.
Another fatal shooting was reported in Eureka Estate, where a 35-year-old male was shot and killed in Mallet Road.
Saturday, 14 March
Violence continued in Lavender Hill, where three people were shot in Parkin Court. One victim died while two others were left wounded.
Later that morning, another person was shot and killed in Military Heights in the same area.
A few hours later, an adult male was shot and killed in St Christopher Street in Montague Village.
In Steenberg, an adult male was shot in Beethoven Street later in the evening.
Sunday, 15 March
On Sunday, a person was shot and killed in Ouplaas Crescent in Wesbank.
Another fatal shooting occurred in Lotus River, where a male was shot and killed in the afternoon in 3rd Avenue.
In Hanover Park, an adult male was shot in the neck in Surwood Walk.
A woman was also shot and killed in Back Street in the N2 Gateway area of Delft.
In Ravensmead, three people were shot in Annemonia Street. Two victims were declared deceased while a third was transported to hospital in critical condition.
Another fatal shooting was reported in Elsies River, where an adult male was shot and killed in Nursery Way, Epping Forest.
In Heather Park, two people were shot in Springbok Street. One victim died at the scene while the other was left critically wounded.
Ongoing Investigations
Authorities are expected to continue investigating the various incidents as law enforcement works to determine the motives behind the shootings.
